How is DORMA structured?

DORMA is now well on the way to transforming itself from a medium-sized enterprise into a global player. DORMA has also recently adapted its management structure in order to meet even more successfully the requirements of its world markets. The new organisation reflects our growth strategy. It is founded on the DORMA philosophy of flexibility and adaptability in relation to customer requirements. The organisation consists mainly of the following basic elements:
A 14-member Group Executive Committee, in which all strategic decisions are to be taken, and 5 global sales territories with Germany (GER), Americas (AME), North & East Europe (NEE), Mediterranean/Middle East/Africa (MMA) and Asia-Pacific/Australia (APA).
DORMA is active in the business segments: Door Control, Automatics, Glass fittings and accessories, Security/Time and Access (STA) and Movable Walls.

The business segment DORMA Door Control comprises the units Door Controls, Door Furniture, Locks, Emergency exit control and Panic Hardware. Both its regular cam-action door closers with their rapidly decreasing opening force profile, and the ITS 96 concealed door closer, designed for integration in the door leaf, have set new standards in the segment. The division’s products are sold throughout the world via the architectural hardware trade and have had a decisive effect on DORMA’s international image.

The Automatic business field is an important source of growth. DORMA began to commit increasing resources to the automatics market in the 1970s and can now offer the most comprehensive and widely varied range of swing, sliding and revolving doors and also automatically operated sliding glass panel partitions. In the automatics segment too, DORMA is a member of the world elite.

The business segment Glass focuses on the development and manufacture of furniture and fittings for glass doors and decorative and structural glass systems. DORMA is the world market leader in the segment of glass fittings and accessories.

Through the application of new technologies and an increasing bias towards electronics, the STA business segment has developed into a real innovation driver in the fields of security, time data acquisition and access control. DORMA has core competencies in the segment of emergency escape security systems and can boast strong positions in access control and attendance recording systems.

Movable Walls is the home of DORMA’s extensive know-how in relation to room dividing, partitioning and interior space configuring elements. The product portfolio extends from large-area sliding walls for auditoriums and halls in major public facilities to room-in-room systems. DORMA is the world market leader in the movable wall systems segment.
